The Rescue
The Rescue is a Christian animated children’s series that invites a new generation to investigate the Bible and discover the greatest rescue story ever told.
A forgotten school assignment unexpectedly leads Jack and Melody King to discover a remarkable book—the Bible. As curiosity spreads through the King family, they begin investigating what makes the Bible unique and whether its claims can be trusted. The Book introduces the importance of asking questions, examining evidence and practising discernment.
After witnessing bullying and loneliness, Melody asks why people hurt one another. Her question leads to the biblical account of Lucifer's rebellion and the origin of evil. The children explore pride, free choice and why God's character of love, justice and mercy is central to understanding the battle between good and evil.
A creative science assignment prompts Jack and Jono to consider the origins of the world. Comparing their own efforts at design with the complexity of nature, they investigate the Bible's Creation account and the claim that God intentionally designed humanity. The episode explores power, purpose, identity and God's love.
A serious accident and Kade's continuing bullying confront the children with the consequences of other people's choices. As they explore the battle between good and evil, they learn about free choice, love, justice, mercy and the importance of considering how their decisions affect themselves and others.
Jack ignores his better judgement and chooses football over preparing for an important exam. As the family explores Adam and Eve's life in Eden and God's warning about the forbidden tree, Jack faces his own temptation when Kade gives him the answers to the exam. The episode explores discernment, self-control, temptation and consequences.
After cheating on his exam, Jack discovers how one dishonest decision can lead to another when Kade attempts to blackmail him. In parallel, the children explore Eve's temptation and humanity's first disobedience. The episode examines temptation, deception, self-control, accountability and the escalating consequences of wrong choices.
About the Show
The Rescue is a Christian animated children’s series that invites a new generation to investigate the Bible and discover the greatest rescue story ever told.
The story centres around the King family—Tony, Sally, Jack and Melody—and their friends as ordinary experiences raise some of life's biggest questions. Why are people unkind? Where did evil come from? Why do bad things happen? Does God really exist? Can the Bible be trusted? Why do our choices matter? And, ultimately, why do we need to be rescued?
Their search for answers leads them to an extraordinary book: the Bible.
Beginning with Creation, the children progressively uncover the story of the battle between good and evil. They discover Lucifer's rebellion, humanity's wrong choice, the consequences of sin and God's extraordinary plan to rescue the human race. As they continue exploring the Bible, stories including Adam and Eve, Cain and Abel, Noah, Abraham, Isaac and Joseph reveal different pieces of God's unfolding rescue plan.
But these are not simply stories from long ago.
The biblical accounts are interwoven with the contemporary lives of the children. Jack learns firsthand about choices and consequences after cheating on an exam. Chloe faces loneliness and bullying. Kade struggles with hurt, rejection and increasingly destructive choices. Jono discovers what it means to put another person's needs before his own and later faces the injustice of being falsely accused.
Through these experiences, biblical principles become practical and relevant to the world children live in today.
Original songs, humour, family conversations, CGI animation and dramatic biblical sequences help communicate complex ideas in an accessible way while encouraging children to ask questions, seek reliable information, practise discernment and investigate the Bible for themselves.
At the heart of The Rescue is one unfolding message:
Humanity needs rescuing. God loves every person. And He has a plan.
