The Rescue
The Wrong Choice, part 1
Jack ignores his better judgement and chooses football over preparing for an important exam. As the family explores Adam and Eve's life in Eden and God's warning about the forbidden tree, Jack faces his own temptation when Kade gives him the answers to the exam. The episode explores discernment, self-control, temptation and consequences.
Jack has an important exam coming up, but football is far more appealing than studying.
He knows what he should do. Jono even reminds him. But when Kade encourages him to keep playing, Jack gives in.
As Jack begins experiencing the consequences of his decision, the King family continues reading the Bible and discovers Adam and Eve living in a perfect world. They enjoy friendship with their Creator and everything He has made—but there is one tree they have been specifically warned to avoid.
The parallels with Jack's situation become uncomfortable.
Then Kade offers Jack an easy way out of his exam problem: a sheet containing all the answers.
Jack now faces another choice.
He knows cheating is wrong, but he is frightened of failing and losing his position on the sports team.
Will one wrong choice lead to another?
