The Rescue
Creation
A creative science assignment prompts Jack and Jono to consider the origins of the world. Comparing their own efforts at design with the complexity of nature, they investigate the Bible's Creation account and the claim that God intentionally designed humanity. The episode explores power, purpose, identity and God's love.
A school science project challenges Jack and Jono to create something that can move under its own power.
As the boys experiment with wind, balloons and magnets, their small creations lead to a much bigger question: if designing a simple model requires planning, power and creativity, what would it take to create an entire world?
Jono believes the answer is found at the beginning of the Bible: God is the Creator. Jack, however, has heard other explanations and isn't convinced.
The King family reads the biblical Creation account together, while Tony continues to investigate the Bible's claims for himself.
Through the beauty, complexity and design they see around them, the children explore the biblical idea that humanity was intentionally created and loved.
For Jack, the evidence is becoming increasingly interesting—but he still has questions.
